New paper on Transportation accidents in Europe (ALERT, ICPEM, Summer 2012)
In Lina Kolesnikova's paper her point about people being important perhaps serves to remind us that it is important to continue to review the concept of resilience in a way that resists the temptation to think only in terms of the ability of an individual or society "to bounce back" but suggests a greater focus on communities, networked capacities, learning and adaptation, all about disasters, disaster risk and the perception of risk.
